Today Bruno Bear was going to the dentist. His tummy felt wobbly. "What will happen?" he asked Papa.

"The dentist will look at your teeth," said Papa. "That is all. I will be right there with you."

Dr. Rosa had a big smile and a big comfy chair. "Hello, Bruno," she said. "Do you want a ride?"

Bruno sat in the chair. Whirr! The chair went up. Whirr! The chair went back. Bruno giggled.

"Open wide like a lion," said Dr. Rosa. Bruno opened his mouth very wide.

Dr. Rosa used a tiny mirror to look at his teeth. "One, two, three," she counted. She counted all the way to twenty.

"You have twenty strong teeth," said Dr. Rosa. "Keep brushing in the morning and at bedtime."

Then she showed Bruno how to brush in little circles, round and round, on the front, the back and the top of every tooth.

At the end, Bruno got a new blue toothbrush and a sticker of a smiling tooth.

That night, Bruno brushed in little circles. "Open wide like a lion," he told Papa. And Papa opened wide too.
