On a dinner plate sat a little green tree named Broccoli.

Next to him, the mashed potatoes got eaten first. Then the chicken. Then the corn. But Broccoli was left alone, again.

"Why doesn't anyone want to try me?" Broccoli sighed.

Carrot rolled over. "Maybe they don't know how awesome you are. Let's show them!"

So Broccoli and Carrot hopped off the plate. They found Apple and Corn in the kitchen. "Let's make a food parade!"

They marched across the table. Carrot said, "Eat me for strong eyes!" Apple said, "Crunch me for a happy tummy!" Corn said, "Pop me for a snack!"

Broccoli stood up tall. "I help you grow big and strong. And I look like a tiny tree. Dinosaurs would love me!"

A little girl named Ava was watching. "Tiny trees?" she said. "Like a dinosaur forest?"

She picked up Broccoli. She pretended to be a giant T. rex. ROAR! And she took a bite.

Crunch, crunch. Ava's eyes went wide. "Hey... that's yummy!"

Broccoli beamed. From that day on, dinosaur-forest dinner was Ava's favorite.
